Public Opening Reception: Friday, June 5th from 6-8pm

This exhibition features three generations of artists from one family: Mark PeiserWatie White, and Calista White. Put in terms of a family, they are: Great Uncle, Uncle, and Niece.

Mark Peiser (b. 1938) is an internationally known glass artist recognized for his continual exploration into the expressive properties of glass. Watie White (b. 1971) is a longtime Omaha resident whose detailed, large-scale artworks examine meaning and storytelling. Calista White (b. 2000) is a student at the University of Louisville who uses various disciplines to explore themes of sacrifice, shame, and altruism.

These artists have never shown together before, yet there are many through lines that connect their distinct artistic styles. All three share a common interest in the lived human experience, and what it means to be a creature that feels, acts, and interacts with others.
