Nebraska Flatwater

This exhibition is an expansion of Gallery 1516’s original video installation, Nebraska Flatwater. The original Flatwater exhibition premiered in 2022, featuring a series of projectors that turned the gallery walls into 16’ tall screens that surrounded visitors with the Nebraskan landscape throughout the four seasons. The exhibition received rave reviewers from visitors, many of whom were moved to tears by the experience.

Now you can experience Flatwater in a new way! The video installation will be on display in one section of the gallery, while the rest of the space features paintings and photographs by Nebraska artists based on the theme of “water.” This multidisciplinary exhibition celebrates the beauty and importance of Nebraska’s water, land, and environment.
