This week features Edem Soul Music. Edem was born and raised on the east coast and later raised in the Midwest. Her sound ranges from classical to hip-hop, soul to folk, all while utilizing instruments like the ukulele, harp, djembe and many more.

This week’s performance features the Bel Canto Duo, with Darci Griffith Gamerl on oboe and David Downing on cello. Bel Canto was founded in 2016. The duo’s repertoire includes favorite arrangements from film, broadway, and opera to original compositions featuring David's looping artistry.

Opera Omaha - Poetry & Music Project
Selections Inspired by Nebraska: Flatwater

Join us for a special performance of original pieces from Opera Omaha’s 2021/22 Poetry & Music Project, which features words by Nebraska student poets set to music by composers Alexis Lamb and Matt Browne. This year’s themes were inspired by Gallery 1516 and Adam Larsen’s new video installation Nebraska: Flatwater. 

The pieces will be performed by Holland Community Opera Fellows Jared Hiscock, Jaime Marie Webb, and Fernando Antonio Montejano, with Head of Music Sean Kelly.
